We're letting The Mommy post some more of her sky photos today. We're being flexible...on a Flexible Friday.
(We encourage you to bigify the photos to see the detail better!)
This is what the sky looked like on my Wednesday morning drive to work.
I was able to get this rather neat shot of the sun's rays shining through the clouds onto the church.
And this is what the sky looked like on my Wednesday evening drive home.
This one you almost definitely need to bigify...you can see the blurry Moon on the left, but just slightly upper right from the Moon about two inches (screen width) is an itty bitty dot, it may just look like a speck of dust on your screen. That's Jupiter.
I've always enjoyed taking photos of sunsets and sunrises and cloud formations, especially when it's stormy. I'm no pro, and I don't do much in the way of processing after the fact. I just like to capture the pretty colors and the fascinating formations and combinations and share them with others. So I've just started a separate blog to post those photos on, as I don't want the Krew to begin complaining about me co-opting their blog too much.
If you're interested in seeing them, you can find the blog at Texas Wildflower. There's some pretty cool -- if I do say so myself LOL -- photos of storm clouds from last night on there now, and posts hereafter will probably be somewhat irregular. The kitties may let me post announcements here of new posts, we'll see.
Thanks for indulging me today, friends!
Happy Friday to all!

Mom likes doing sky shots too. She loves sunsets, sunrises and cloud formations. She particularly likes to find a shape in the clouds in the sky (like an angel).
Those are lovely pics.
Great sky pictures! We biggified them and they're gorgeous!
Have a great Friday and YAY for Bugsy coming home!

The Kitty Krew.
Great pictures today. I love the sun rays through the clouds. We had a very pretty purplish sun rise here today. They are always pretty in October.

Having been raised in Texas I always marvel teh wide open spaces we can see in a great sky shot. In your first pictures, we called those sun rays, Sun Dogs. I do not know why, just did. In the sunset picture we called those wispy clouds, Mares Tails! You are in a perfect location for star gazing. Not to close to the City to get light pollution. Wonderful picture with Jupiter and the moon!
I am adding your new blog to my reader!
How pretty! And how nice of the cats to let you post YOUR pictures on THEIR blog! *giggle* Our front porch faces West so we often sit and watch sunsets whilst having a cup of tea.....
Love the pictures and we've been to your Mommy's blog and have signed up to follow her photos.....
Y'all have a fantastic weekend

We could see Jupiter in your photo!!
We could also see how very dirty our screen is.....
We're laughing at Peggy's comment! We could see Jupiter too - and the cloud photos are gorgeous!
P.S. We think you should let your mom post one day a week! We like her posts.
You are very kind to share your blog with the mummy. I make mine use her own blog.
