New Callie Noos

"Dear Diary:

Today is my 6th day of captivity. But there's good news! This morning, I heard Dr. Vet tell somebody that The Mommy can come take me home tonight..."

Yes, Miss Callie is coming home tonight. Of course, it's a 'good news / bad news' scenario. She's still not eating, and Dr. Vet hopes that being home in familiar surroundings might help. I haven't talked with him today, just one of the assistants, and other than knowing she's not eating, it's really too early yet this morning to know anything different from Saturday (no new test results or anything like that). But I called to offer to take some of her regular food up there this afternoon to see if she'd eat, and they checked with Dr. Vet and called back to say he thought she might eat better at home. That doesn't mean she's well, though. And I don't know how long she'll be at home.

So I'll leave work early to go get her and to talk to Dr. Vet and see if they know anything for sure yet by then. Have I mentioned that I really hate the 'not knowing what's wrong with her' part?

That's all for now...

Even though we have been off the computer for a while we were still (and still are) purring and praying for her to get better. I was glad to see it was not pancreatits but the gallbladder thing doesn't sound great (can they take it out like with people and if so would it help?) I am glad she is coming home and hope it helps with the eating. We went through a weird stint with Lola at one point - she didn't want to eat or anything and although we never found the official cause we know that one issue was that she was very gassy. Because of the not eating it could have started liver issues too (she is pudgy so fatty liver syndrome was a possibility). Lola got better once she was home and started eating regularly again shortly after she got back - I am hoping that happens with Callie and that it will help her feel better and fix some of her other issues too. In addition to the get better purrs and prayers we are going to add in some "eat some foods" wishes too!

We are so happy to hear that Callie will be coming home today!!! But, not happy at the fact that there's still nothing diagnosed. We hope they find the cause very soon!

Hoping Callie will eat for you when she gets home, and that the vet can shed some light on the problem. I hope it's nothing too serious and can be easily fixed. Purring for you today.

Poor Miss Callie. I'm sorry to hear she is still not feeling well. Did the VET say anything about baby food? A lot of cats the blogosphere have used it when they haven't been eating. Could Callie have IBD?

We have been purring and purring for her, and all of you.

I have wanted to tell you that I love the Christmas card you made. I saved it to my desktop and mommy is going to print it and put it on the piano with all the cards. purrrrrs

We are so sorry you don't feel well. Callie you must get better. You are a very important part of your family.

Callie's Mommy, I live in Ga with my Mommy and big brother, and I don't know where you live;but, sometimes when animals are really sick they to the UGA Vet school in Athens. They can work miracles there, so maybe if there is a vet like that where you live, y'all could find out what's wrong. My Nana has whose cat was very ill, and she went there;and, know she is alive and feeling better.

It's good to have her home, though. Maybe being back with her mom will help.

Sweet, sweet neighbor Callie--we're still praying for you! I hope being home with The Mommy and the rest of your family--you will eat something. Being in captivity is NO fun.

Take care, our Precious Princess!

My heart is with you and Callie. Our Moseley is not eating very much at all, but at least he is eating. Our vet doesn't know either, but she put him on hormones and like magic, he's eating again. We still don't know why. It's nuts.
