Finally Friday

Yay, it's Friday!! I don't know about you kitties, but we'll probably be doing a lot of napping today and this weekend...of course, we do a lot of that on every day!

I'm going to get a headstart on things with a little nap on the hammick.

Easy Like Sunday

It's another Sunday here at The Kitty Krew, a little chilly outside, and we're once again taking it easy and planning on napping a lot. Doesn't that sound like a good plan?

When Ziggy sleeps, Ziggy sleeps hard...and The Mommy's lap (or part of it MOL) is always a good napping spot...

In her first week here, Gypsy liked to sleep on the seat of the recumbent bike...

Pixie, like all of us, always enjoys a nap on one of Peggy's hairy blankies laid out on the couch...

Roxy really likes the soft thick mats that are now on the window perches...

Like Pixie, Sassy could nap on Peggy's hairy blankies all day long...

Bugsy has taken a liking to the big bright pink poof bed we got from Santa Paws...

Nap, Interrupted

I was taking a nice nap on the couch one evening and was interrupted by something (probably The Mommy) and ended up down on the floor. I was able to resume my nap shortly thereafter, and I thought I would share the proper steps for preparing yourself for the resumption of an interrupted nap just in case this ever happens to you.

First, a good stretch always helps to work out any kinks from having been curled up in one position for too long.

A robust yawn gets the blood flowing again, and loosens up your jaws.

Finally, just curl right back up and get back to napping, even if you're now in the middle of the floor pathway. After all, you're most important and your beauty sleep is vital.

Mancat Monday

The Many Napping Places of Pixie...

Hi peoples! We got lots of good napping places here at de Casa Kitty Krew, and I thought I'd share some of my favorites with you.

Here I am on the couch, laying half on the pink/blue hairy blankie and half on the burgandy/white fuzzy blankie.

Now I'm under the desk. I'm not hiding, I was protecting The Mommy while she was on the computer thingy!

This is another good place on the couch, sitting on a combination of the arm of the couch, a couple of pillows, and The Mommy's shoulder!

Silly Saturday

I've been having a nice nap on top of this shelf unit, but now I'm awake.

And after a good stretch...

It's time to go somewhere else! I'm so speedy, I'm just a blur...

Okay, I'll admit these photos are a few weeks old. But I'm sure I'll be up there again this weekend. It's good to be home again after my second week of radiation treatments. And now, with 10 of 18 done, I'm past the halfway point! Everything is going well, and they all love me at the cancer v-e-t's place; I have them eating out of my paw. And so far, no sign of any bad side effects -- this is about the point where the doc guy said they might start showing up. Keeping my paws crossed that none do...

Roxy's Ramblings

Hi peoples! Well, it's Saturday, yay! The Mommy's happy 'bout that. And we're all happy to have Bugsy back home and feeling better.

So I was looking through my pictures, and realized how many different places there are to lay down and get comfy. Here are just a few I thought I'd share with you to make it a Silly Saturday!

The bathroom counter works well, I can snoopervise while The Mommy gets ready for that "work" place she always goes to during the week.


Here's an interesting spot, on a box between the bathroom cabinet and the bubbly tub. Why, you may ask, is there a box there? Good question! It's 'cuz we sneaky kitties figgered out how to pry off the front panels on the sides of the bubbly tub and crawl up into the guts underneath! Aren't we smart?! So The Mommy had to put something on each side to block us. Now if she was crafty, she'd at least cover the silly ol' boxes with pretty paper or something instead of just leaving 'em all brown. Silly Mommy.


Another good place is the dining room table, a nice spot to retreat to when everycat is outside and I get skeered from some loud noise. I can still see out through the open front door from here and keep an eye on The Mommy sitting there.


This rug is nice and soft, and is conveniently located near one of the boogie mats as well as one of the scratching stations.


The computer chair, when not otherwise occupied by The Mommy, is a very good place for a nap; it comes with a nice cushion against the back!


The fireplace mantel, while not an obvious first choice, is also a good location for taking a quick snooze. Not to mention I can get away from Pixie up here, so he doesn't bug me! It's also my perch of choice to greet The Mommy when she gets home from the "work" thingy.


Finally, the couch is always the perfect nappy location. It's also convenient for glaring at The Mommy when she's gotten out the flashy box thing one too many times... (you may need to bigify the picture to see the narrow peek of my evil eye glare that I'm giving her!)
