Tortie Tuesday Tribute

It's time for another Tortie Tuesday Tribute, featuring our dear Callie. For those new or newish to the bloggie, Callie became ill unexpectedly in early December and passed on to the Rainbow Bridge a week before Christmas. At that time, there were still quite a few good photos of her that had never been posted, so The Mommy made several collages of them and we've been sharing those one or two at a time since then.

This first collage is a series of photos taken just the night before Callie passed. The Mommy had received a package in a rather small box, and Callie was determined to take a nap in that box -- and by golly, she managed to fit herself in all curled up! (Biggify to see better)

This second collage shows Callie in some of her favorite napping spots. The upper middle photo shows her curled up in the corner of the couch, just where we pictured her being in the photo shown on last Friday's post of the 6 of us left behind...

*Sigh* We really miss Callie.

Those are lovely photos of Callie and wonderful remembrance.

Peace.

Awesome tribute to one of the most beautiful torties we know! We love how she tried to fit in the small box (and did). You're very missed, Callie!

What a heartwarming tribute to Sweet Callie. I see her picture posted here and there on other blogs so she is never far from view.
I'm still a bit puzzled why Callie's death hit me so particularly hard and still instantly fills my eyes when she comes to mind. I think it was because I knew at the time that Moseley would be going soon and I began my mourning for him through Callie's unexpected passing. I don't know for sure, but I know I'm still sad too, even though I never stroked her tortie fur.

We know it must be very difficult for you because you miss Callie so much. But just know that she is well and looking over you all.

She certainly doesn't appear ill in these pictures, but with kitties sometimes it's really difficult to tell. Such a sweetie!

This is a lovely tribute to her.
